How You Can Help the Process
- Compile.
Brainstorm and write down all your ideas that you want included in your website. Try to think of everything that a potential customer may want to know. This may including things such as general information about your business/ministry, location and directions, schedules, pictures, contact information, staff profiles, useful links and resources, etc. - Organize.
Take the time to organize your ideas into logical groups. You should end up with having a handful of main categories and several sub-categories, such as "About Us," "Services," "Staff," etc. Doing this will make it easier for the design process and allow for quicker design time. It will also make it easier for the customers to navigate the site. - Color.You must decide on what color(s) you would like on your website. You may already have a logo or other color associated with your or your business. If you don't already have these things, then try to keep in mind these things: color contrast when it comes to reading on the site, color coordination, appeal to the eye, etc.
- Design.
A general layout is a vital decision. It must be pleasing to you and appealing to your customer. "Keep it simple" is a good rule of thumb when it comes to choosing a layout. It needs to be appealing enough, yet it needs to be easy to navigate and find information. - Picture it.
Good pictures are a vital part of websites. Choose the pictures that leave an impression of what your business/ministry is all about. Pictures of people are always good, but it is also good to include pictures of the different aspects of your business/ministry. Too many pictures may be overwhelming, so they must be chosen wisely.

Some of my work begins with a template, which I then take and make whatever adjustments and alterations that are needed. I change things such as color schemes, pictures, minor modifications to the overall layout, etc.
I can also help you take a website that you currently have and help you to improve and develop it into a new and better structure and layout. This helps you to be able to have a "new face" to your customers. Prices for this service will vary, depending on your specific needs and desires. Just contact me to arrange a quote.
Website Maintenance
If I help you with either designing or developing your website, I offer to maintain those site for a small monthly fee. The fee will depend upon what chages or updates will need to be made, starting at $15 per month if it requires only simple, regular maintenance. The fee for anything special or more complex will be determined on a case by case basis - either a higher monthly rate or possibly an hourly rate.
